BLOOD PLAN PROGRAM
Modesto CRC is enrolled in a Blood Plan Program at the Delta Blood Bank. When we donate blood, not only are the lives of others saved, but as a “reward”, members of our church are allowed to use blood during their hospital stays for a reduced amount.
Almost anyone who is age 17 or older can donate blood about every three months. No appointment is necessary! It only takes about an hour from the time you walk in the door, answer the “good blood” questions, give blood, and enjoy your free juice and cookies. If you have even more time to spare, you might consider donating your white blood cells through the pheresis process. It’s painless and you can watch a move of your choice while you relax.
Always mention Modesto CRC when you register to donate so that our plan is credited.

HELPING HANDS
This group primarily arranges lunches for funerals, but also works with the diaconate to extend Christian mercy to those needing meals after surgery/childbirth, babysitting, etc..
MAILBOX MINISTRY
If you enjoy sending cards of encouragement, join this ministry to members of our congregation who are living alone, isolated in care facilities, or who are going through a time of illness/recovery. Currently seven people have each been assigned a range of monthly dates during which they send mail to a shared list of people, as well as including any other members mentioned in the weekly worship guides.
PRAYER MINISTRIES
Prayer Chain: Members have committed themselves to praying for special needs. Any member who has a special prayer request may call any morning between 7am - 7:30pm. In case of emergency, please call anytime. The prayer chain will keep confidential any requests you desire.

Sunday Morning Prayers: Those who desire to pray for the Sunday morning worship service – the pastor, the hearers, the special parts of the service, as well as the on-going needs of the congregation, the Church School classes, and the Council and leaders -- gather in the education wing, Room 3 from 9- 9:25am every Sunday morning. Any member is free to join in at any time.
TAPES OF SUNDAY WORSHIP
Video tapes of each Sunday’s worship services are available for those who are unable to attend the services.

Transportation to and from church services and programs during the week can be arranged for church members.
